Fugitive Moments II
Three Dimensional screen, against a black wall: sited in the main gallery space of the Otter Gallery
This version of the installation comprised a three-dimensional screen, conceived by Beau Lotto, made up of some 20 semi-opaque perspex strips, arranged such that, perceived directly from the front, their surfaces created a complete surface for the projection. The digital imagery played upon this screen. Perceived from an angle the projection surface revealed its three dimensional characteristics, allowing the flow of colour to move back and forth across the structure in three dimensions. In this version of the installation the viewer had the opportunity to create his or her own colour system using a Graphic User Interface.
